PhD Student
Institut de Microelectrònica de Barcelona (IMB-CNM)
Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC)

Samuel Poblador graduated in Industrial Engineering in 2014 and obtained the Master’s. Degree in Nanostructured Materials in 2016, both from the Universidad de Zaragoza. In 2016, he began his Ph.D at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and joined the Institut de Microelectrònica de Barcelona of the CSIC, where he is involved in the design, fabrication, characterization and simulation of resistive switching devices based on high-k dielectrics for neuromorphic and memory applications.

At present, he is part of the Advanced Thin Dielectric Films (ATDF) group at IMB-CNM, a research group that started its activities in 2008 with focus on thin high-k dielectrics films for silicon-based micro and nanolectronic devices.

Research interests:

  • Resistive switching devices design, fabrication and characterization.
  • Electrical characteristics of thin high-k dielectric films.
  • Electronic microscopy techniques for materials integration in silicon-based devices.
