Dr. Anna Palau

Department of Superconducting materials and large-scale nanostructures (SUMAN)
Institut de Ciència de Materials de Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC)

Anna Palau graduated in Physics from UB in 1999 and Materials Engineering from UPC in 2000. She got the Ph.D. degree in Materials Science from UAB in 2005. She was a post-doctoral researcher at University of Cambridge (2005-2007) and she is at the present a Scientific Researcher at the SUMAN group of ICMAB-CSIC.

During all her scientific career she has been working with the outstanding physical properties of functional oxides, in particular high temperature superconductors. She has devoted much effort in the opportunities that advanced nanofabrication technologies can bring to strongly correlated oxides.

Research interests:

  • Functional oxides
  • High temperature superconductors
  • Advanced nanofabrication
  • Energy-efficient electronic devices
  • Memristor and neuromorphic systems
