PhD student
Institut de Ciència de Materials de Barcelona
(ICMAB-CSIC)

Alejandro Fernández-Rodríguez received a B.Sc degree in Physics at Universidade de Santiago de Compostela in 2015 and MSc in Advanced Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (Nanoelectronic branch) in 2016 at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, developing his master thesis in the Superconducting Materials and Large Scale Nanostructures department at Institut de Ciència de Materials de Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC).

At present he is doing a Ph. D. in Materials Science at the same department studying the tuning of the electronic structure in High Temperature Superconducting films at nanometric scale.

Research interests:

  • High temperature superconductivity (HTS)
  • Metal-Insulator transitions
  • Resistive switching in strongly-correlated
    oxides
