This Workshop on Ethics and Responsible Research & Innovation in Research takes place on March 16 th of 2018, at ICMAB, located at the UAB. Responsible Research & Innovation (RRI) is a concept that has gained visibility and relevance in the recent years, and involves the participation of multiple stakeholders such as researchers, citizens, policy makers, business or third sector organisations in the research and innovation process, enabling an easier access to the scientific results, the take up of gender and ethics in the research and innovation content and process, as well as the formal and informal science education.
Thus, the workshop aims of introducing this concept to the research community at ICMAB, and in collaboration with the Marie-Curie Initial Training Network (ITN) i-Switch. For this purpose, it will gather several experts from the field to provide the assistants with some insights on how to deal with some of the aspects included in RRI, from ethics and gender issues in research to integrity and scientific misconduct. In addition, there will be two practical workshops focusing on the promotion of RRI and the currently available methods to implement it.
