The International Electron Devices Meeting (IEDM) is the world’s preeminent forum for reporting breakthroughs in technology, design, manufacturing, physics and the modeling of semiconductors as well as other electronic devices. Topics range from deep submicron COMS transistors technology and advanced memories to novel displays and imagers, from compound semiconductor materials to nanotechnology devices and architectures, from micromachined devices to smart-power technologies, etcetera.

This major meeting is promoted by the Electron Devices Society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and brings together managers, engineers, scientists from industry, academia and government around the world to discuss about all the above mentioned topics, which are presented in different type of sessions: from multiple plenary presentations to panel sessions, tutorials, short courses and invited talks and an entrepreneurship panel sessions performed by experts in the field, coming from all the world.

Definitely, “this conference is really useful to realize which are the most recent advances related to memristors and to the implementation of neuromorphic circuits", says Professor Jordi Suñé, coordinator of neuromimeTICs.
